DMCA Policy

Express Marketing respects the intellectual property rights of others. We comply with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA). This policy describes our procedures for addressing alleged copyright infringement on our website, expressmarketing.ae.

This includes content such as articles, images, and other materials published across our various magazine categories. We expect all users to honor intellectual property laws.

Reporting Copyright Infringement (DMCA Takedown Notice)

If you believe content on Express Marketing infringes your copyright, please send a written DMCA Takedown Notice to our Designated Agent. Your notice must include all required information for us to act.

Upon receiving a valid and complete notice, we will investigate the claim. We typically remove or disable access to the infringing material within a reasonable timeframe, often within 48 hours on business days.

Required Elements for a DMCA Notice

A valid notice must include the following:

  • A physical or electronic signature of a person authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner.
  • Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed. Provide enough detail, such as the title or URL of the copyrighted work.
  • Identification of the material claimed to be infringing. Include its specific location on expressmarketing.ae (e.g., direct URL to the article or image).
  • Your contact information. This must include your name, address, telephone number, and email address.
  • A statement that you have a good faith belief that use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
  • A statement that the information in the notification is accurate. Also state, under penalty of perjury, that you are authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner.

Counter-Notification Process

If you believe your content was wrongly removed or disabled, you may file a counter-notification. The DMCA allows us to restore the removed content if we receive a valid counter-notice.

We will forward your counter-notification to the original complaining party. The content may be reinstated after 10-14 business days if the complaining party does not file a court action seeking an order against you.

Required Elements for a Counter-Notification

A valid counter-notification must include:

  • Your physical or electronic signature.
  • Identification of the material removed or disabled. Also include the location where the material appeared before its removal.
  • A statement, under penalty of perjury, that you have a good faith belief the material was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification.
  • Your name, address, and telephone number.
  • A statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal court in Dubai, UAE. You also accept service of process from the person who provided the original DMCA notification.

Repeat Infringer Policy

Express Marketing maintains a policy against repeat infringers. We terminate the accounts of users who repeatedly infringe upon the copyrights of others. This applies to any individuals contributing articles, comments, or other content.

We reserve the right to remove any content or terminate any user account at our discretion.
